Bits & Pieces

I call it the bubble tree, though it does have a proper name I have meanwhile forgotten. It first appeared at home as a tiny potted plant from Ikea and has since grown and grown. It became at some point a monster of a tree, too heavy for its pot, and fell over. Half of it broke to pieces which gave birth to new plants, but I had to cut the rest to even it up some.

And now I notice a curious thing — in the places where it was cut, the bubbly tree sheds off excess growth, makes a clean stump and grows new leaves. It’s perfectly fit to repair the broken parts. Cut, clean, grow anew.

Oh, and before I forget - ye olde oatcakes. There is not one definite recipe online. Not one! I bet the Scottish are doing it on purpose. So, I patched that one from several and ended up with sub-optimal results. I shall be writing ingredients when I finally get them right.
