Bits & Pieces

Needed to wrap up an item in my groceries with paper today so I grabbed one of the advertising pamphlets at Aldi. When I later wanted to throw it away, I noticed that it’s not their weekly promotions but an ad for the in-house washing products brand Tandil.
As it turns, Tandil exists for over 40 years! Who would have thought!? And what I find even more interesting is the way their packaging and logotype has evolved — from the relatively minimal retro to today’s colour devastation. And, oh that dot over the capital “I”.
Somehow cheap from forty years back didn’t look as cheap as it does today.
