Bells on a Sunday
It’s what they call the First Advent here. The official start of xmas madness proper. In a way, it is a consolation that I am not obliged to take part. As soon as it turned clear that I will not be able to afford the luxury price Lufthansa has put on tickets to Sofia, I decided that the best thing I could do is talk mum into flying to Poland. Her best friend has earlier invited her over and...

Chusseau Flaviens Collection →
Quoting from the Old Sofia Blog: “Among the many collections that form the International Museum of Photography is one comprising over ten thousand glass plate negatives, the gift of Kodak Pathe. They are predominantly the creation of one man, the Frenchman C. Chusseau Flaviens. Whatever factual knowledge we possess about him is practically stated with his name. Much of the rest is...

Chapel Club at MySpace Music →
I have a natural revulsion towards MySpace sites, so if anything is to be seen there, it would normally be not seen or heard by me. Not unless I hear it elsewhere first. This was the case with Chapel Club yesterday. Surfacing and Machine Music are two very nice pieces of music. Remind me of many things, but sometimes it makes sense to forget those things.

One doesn't know...
… where a conversation will end when one starts it. I was talking with mum about food stuff she wants to pack in her luggage to Poland and for some reason had to think of my Polish grandma. Way back in 96, when all of a sudden we had no food in the shops and an entire salary could go for two loaves of bread and a jar of yoghurt, my Babcia packed a suitcase full of food, one handbag and her...
