joelaz: This is an interesting little optical illusion / visualization thing.  I can’t really explain it well.  Go see for yourself. The animal is drawn with adjacent lines showing different frames from a movement. When one moves the grid on top, it displays only the lines to one animation frame at a time and that is why when moving it one sees movement - actually different frames one after...
